Under the FDA's FSMA Preventive Controls rule, facilities must ensure employees who manufacture, process, pack, or hold food are qualified to do their jobs — with training in food hygiene and food safety appropriate to their duties, and records to document it. Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) underpin the daily expectations: hygiene, sanitation, allergen control, foreign-material prevention. HACCP and preventive-control plans require trained personnel at the relevant points.

In many food-production facilities, onboarding isn't a quarterly cohort — it's a continuous stream. New people start most weeks, and each one needs day-one food-safety training before touching product. An annual or batch-based onboarding model simply doesn't fit.
The system has to make onboarding repeatable and near-automatic: a defined food-safety path that triggers the moment a worker is added, calculates due dates from their start date, and won't let them quietly skip the mandatory pieces. A food-production floor is not an office. It's loud, often cold or wet, fast-paced, and laptop-free. Delivery has to fit that reality:

An FDA inspector or a customer auditor will ask for training records, and "we're pretty sure everyone's trained" is not an answer. You need to produce, quickly, the documented food-safety and GMP training for every worker, current and complete.
That means the platform's compliance reporting has to generate time-stamped, exportable records per worker and per facility — who was trained, on what, when, and proof it's current.
